Dear Patients:
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. We are writing to let you know we will reopen for full-service dental care on Monday, May 11th. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
As history shows, the dental office is one of the safest places to visit. To date, not one case of COVID-19 has been attributed to a dental visit for either a patient or staff member. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.
Additionally, we have taken many additional steps to make sure you, as the patient, and our team members are working in the safest environment possible.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We have made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
Sincerely,
Your Wilson Martino Dental Team

Additionally, we have taken many additional steps to make sure you, as the patient, and our team members are working in the safest environment possible.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We have made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
- You’ll be asked some screening questions upon arrival so we can best assess your current condition.
- This will include taking a pulse ox reading (which measures the concentration of oxygen in your blood), lower readings have been shown to be an early indicator for the CoronaVirus.
- We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
- You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
- We have taken out the majority of our reception chairs. Those remaining will be for patients only. We ask that you leave your family in the car or at home, unless you are a parent or guardian of the patient.
- Once you have checked in at the front desk, we will confirm your phone number so that we can text you when your provider is ready to seat you, or a reception chair becomes available.
- We will continue to have you pre-rinse with OraCare before procedure, this is to help create the safest environment (killing viruses, fungi and bacteria) for you and our team.
- We may also do a mid-appointment rinse for longer procedures.
- We will be spraying down all surfaces after each appointment with a disinfectant spray consisting of HypoChlorous Acid, which has been shown to kill the CoronaVirus, while maintaining safety for patients and staff.
- This disinfectant spray may make our office “smell” a little different, a little like pool water.
- You may see us wearing masks, shields and gloves, this is for your protection as well as ours. **Although we will be wearing our PPE (personal protective equipment) when you arrive, please know that behind every mask is a smile and that we are still here to make you as comfortable as possible.
- Mask will be available upon request
Sincerely,
Your Wilson Martino Dental Team
