Meet Dr. Edward Linger
Dr. Edward Linger is a native of Lewis County, West Virginia. He joined our practices in August of 2000 and is a co-owner of the Elkins location. Working in the North Central West Virginia area where he is from seems like the perfect opportunity to give back to the community that is so important to him. Growing up on a small horse farm, he became very interested in farming at a young age. While living there, he developed a passion for hunting and fishing.
Dr. Linger's mother was his principal throughout most of his junior high career, as well as being his first grade teacher, while his father was his baseball and basketball coach. In his spare time, Dr. Linger enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
Graduating in 1992 with honors from Lewis County High School, Linger went on to Marshall University for his undergraduate work. He then moved to WVU and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. While attending dental school, he traveled to San Lucas Tiliman, Guatemala, for an international health sciences learning elective. While there, he gained valuable experience in basic dental procedures, including surgical techniques involving dental extractions.
Dr. Linger enjoys all aspects of dentistry including treating children, crown and bridge work, endodontics, removable prosthodontics, and especially oral surgery. Because he is from the same area as most of his patients and shares a similar background, he feels that he develops a sense of family with them. It makes Dr. Linger very proud to be a part of our offices.
