Rock Forge Happy Preschool Students Study Dental Health
Posted: 2/12/2007
In honor of National Children’s Dental Health Month, The Rock Forge Happy School Preschool played host to a very special guest. TLC Dental and Dudley the Dinosaur visited with the pre-school and daycare students and presented a free dental program. “Dudley” the dinosaur, a pre-historic spokesperson for the American Dental Association talked with the children on the topic of dental health. The students watched a video about a dental office visit, learned the proper way to brush and floss their teeth and studied cavities, fluoride and more. They also helped Dudley pack a lunch filled with good food choices, and discussed what would happen if sugary snacks were eaten on a regular basis.
Each student received a gift packet from Dudley, which contained a toothbrush, coloring sheets and a Tooth Tip Sheet. They were also given the opportunity to personally talk with Dudley.
TLC Dental is located behind McDonalds in Sabraton “Dental education at an early age plays an important role in every child’s health regimen,” says Dr. Stefan Cho-Polizzi. “We strive to teach every child that dental care is important for the overall health of their body, and we customize the classes for various age levels.”
“Dudley” the dinosaur is available to visit almost any program, including: daycare facilities, schools, social groups, civic clubs, senior centers and much more. To schedule a class with “Dudley”, please call Wendy Boyce with TLC Dental at 304-624-5250.
