Crowns
Patients frequently ask us how long they can expect their crown to last. In our office, we strive for perfection and satisfaction, we want to exceed your expectations! We design a crown to last a life-time; however, there are several factors involved. Changes in oral habits, new oral conditions and improper home care can all effect the longevity of your restoration.
In our practice, the focus is on prevention. We want you to brush, floss and complete any other special treatments that we recommend, giving you healthy teeth and gums. Carefully examining your teeth and gums, crowns and bridges, in addition to applying a flouride treatment on a regular basis, can prevent most diseases. This is why it is so important for us to see you at your recommended Routine Care Visit and provide these services for you.
SOME THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT YOUR CROWN:
- For a period of five (5) years from the date of service, we will replace or refund the original cost of a crown or bridge that has failed due to breakage or decay.
- If a crown or bridge comes off within five (5) years, of the date of service, we will re-bond it to the tooth at no extra charge.
- Please be aware that a small percentage (less than 10%) of crowns or bridges may need to have
Endodontic Therapy within a few years after placement. This guarantee does not apply to the cost of that procedure, unless the crown or bridge is irreversibly damaged.
- This guarantee is null and void if you do not maintain your recommended Routine Care Visit
interval, including receiving a flouride treatment, with our office.
Please remember that we need to see you on a regular basis to assess any changes, and to make sure that you are healthy. Together, our office can work with you as a team to maintain the optimal care that you have chosen.
